2.2 The costs of transporting the work of art, including insurance, are for the account of the artist. The insurance will be up to the port of the country of destination.
2.3 The purchase cannot be canceled after payment and also cannot be returned after delivery.
2.4 The buyer will ensure that the import papers are delivered to the seller.

Article 3

The payment of the purchase price by the buyer will take place:

At the latest within 10 days after the signing of this contract.

Article 4

4.1 If exhibition guidelines are attached to these, the buyer undertakes to strictly adhere to these guidelines. Optionally:

Lending the artwork to third parties for exhibition purposes is only permitted with the prior written permission of the artist.

4.2 Announcements and promotion of the display of the work of art are only permitted if use of the promotional material supplied is approved by the artist, secondary exploitation of this promotional material (such as merchandising of reproductions, use of a reproduction as a logo) are not permitted without written permission and compensation for the artist.

4.3 If a catalog is issued at the exhibition of the artwork, the artwork may be displayed in the catalog provided that only reproductions of the artwork / reproductions permitted and approved by the artist are made available and accepted by the artist and provided that at least 4 copies of this catalog are supplied to the artist free of charge.

4.4 The artist retains all other copyrights. Consequently, the buyer is not permitted to reproduce the artwork or part of the artwork through any medium. In addition, the buyer undertakes to inform the artist in writing if he knows of a copyright infringement by third parties.

4.5 The name of the creator, Teun de Bruin.

Will stay connected to the artwork. To this end, if the artwork is referred to or the artwork is shown, the buyer will always ensure that the name of the author is stated and that there can be no doubt or ambiguity as to his status as the author of the artwork.

4.6 Insofar as necessary, it is expressly stated that the aforementioned rights are granted to the buyer subject to full compliance with this agreement and subject to correct payment by the buyer of the purchase price mentioned in Article 1 above.

Article 5

5.1 The buyer will take good care of the artwork. He will manage and maintain the work of art in accordance with the intention of the artist and with due regard for the intellectual rights of the creator in accordance with the relevant international conventions and the Dutch Copyright Act.

5.2 The buyer undertakes to inform the artist without delay of any theft or damage to the artwork. In such a case, the buyer will take the necessary (repair) measures in consultation with the artist.

Article 6

In the event of resale of the work of art, the buyer will inform the artist in advance and impose the same conditions on the next buyer as those to which he is subject to under this agreement.

Option:

In the event of the artwork being purchased again, the buyer grants a pre-emptive right to the artist.

The artist is entitled to 5% of the sale price, this will go to a good cause.

Article 7

Dutch law applies to this agreement. For the settlement of disputes between the parties that have any connection with this agreement, only the courts of the Netherlands have jurisdiction.
